Don't Waste Your Days

Growing up, I didn't know there was a difference between living for God and just admitting that there is a God. I thought you just acknowledged that He existed and that was it - you went on living your life.

Wow, was I wrong.

It wasn’t until I saw other believers truly living for God that I got a glimpse of what it was like to be free in Him. I saw what it meant to actually follow Him. I learned that “Believing” expresses a mental action or inner conviction. Simply put, when you truly believe something, you live it out.

I began to understand what God's design truly is for His children and how upside down our world is. I learned that to live freely, I had to lay my life down and follow Him. That life on earth is not out true home.

As Si from Duck Dynasty says "This is just our Airbnb until we get to our real home."

God truly satisfy.

God truly sets us free.

In Him is our only source of everlasting Joy and peace that surpasses all understanding.

Please don’t think “I’m going to ”live” my life now and tap into God when I need Him." That way of thinking is dangerous. You are wasting precious time. That’s one of the enemy's tactics - convincing you that living for your own desires is freedom.

But It isn't freedom.

It's bondage. It’s slavery.

Life with God - living for God - is the only freedom.

The difficult part about convincing non-believers of this is that you can’t. You get to plant seeds and trust the Lord to water that and allow it to grow.

When someone is in bondage to sin, they are often blind to anything beyond their own desires.

Many people don’t want to give up their sin to follow God. They see Him as a buzzkill. The truth is, God wants your heart. Yes, He calls us to turn away from sin, but friend - that transformation comes with time.

Obedience to God grows out of falling in love with Him and realizing that anything outside of Him isn't worth it.

Trying to "obey" God's Word without knowing His heart isn't truly living in Him. That's not what He wants. Jesus is so much more than a check-list.

He is our savior.

Our joy.

Our Father.

Our friend.

Our only hope for eternal life.

Allow Him to show you just how incredible life with Him can be.

God came down in human form - fully man and fully God - to carry our sin to the cross and defeat it for us so that we could be washed clean. Time and time again, humanity rebelled against God, yet His pursuit of us never stopped. Now that Jesus has nailed our sin to the cross, we can live in freedom, knowing we have been redeemed by Him.

When we accept this truth, we are given eternal life with Him. But God didn’t only promise life with Him after this world - He also promises abundant life while we are still here.

John 10:10 "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."

It happened.

It is truth.

But remember - belief is a mental action.

Romans 10: 9-10 "If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved."
